Published November 10, 2020 Remember how back in March & April of 2020, you couldn’t find toilet paper anywhere? (Kinda traumatizing tbh). Well, it turns out the herb and supplement shelves were empty too after we all panic-bought Vitamins C-Z. During a time when it was nearly impossible to get prepackaged herbs and formulas, the OO community on Instagram turned to research common kitchen herbs and foods that can help nourish our immune systems. Because so many of you couldn’t just whip up a tincture in your kitchen, we began making “immunitea” with onion, orange peel, ginger, rosemary, cinnamon, and clove support the lungs. If you’re ready to try this at home, keep reading! Ingredients (any of the following, whatever you have on hand!): OnionOrange peelsRosemaryGingerCinnamonCloveFennel Seeds (optional if you have nausea) Remember: it’s okay if you don’t have every single ingredient on hand; the goal is to make “kitchen medicine” with what you have available. Even if you only have orange peels or ginger, you will still make a very potent and supportive tea. Throw everything into a pot as shown above, bring to a boil, then lower and simmer covered for 15-20 minutes. You can leave this on a low heat throughout the day and continue to refill your cup and sip as you remember.
