Published July 19, 2024 Nothing evokes childhood nostalgia quite like snacking on fruit leather, even if it wasn’t always made with the best ingredients. But what if we told you that you could create your own ‘fruit roll-up’ at home using just a few simple ingredients—no added sugar or food dyes required? Our recipe combines fresh strawberries with our Rosehip Relief syrup, resulting in a deliciously sweet and tangy medicinal snack. Both rosehips and strawberries are rich in Vitamin C, making this a perfect immune-boosting treat to keep on hand. Ingredients: 3 cups Strawberries or other fruit 2 tablespoons Rosehip Relief Pinch of salt Method: Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and no lumps remain Line baking sheets or dehydrator trays with parchment paper or silicone mats Pour the blended mixture into the center of the trays and spread into even layers about 1/2cm thick Dehydrate at 135 degrees for about 6-8 hours until totally dry but not crunchy Peel the leathers off the liner and cut into strips Roll the leathers and store in an airtight jar. These will keep for up to 1 year on the shelf if properly stored. This recipe is brought to us by Alexandra Rosenberg-Rigutto.
